After the collection, the labor and delivery staff will either keep your kit at the nursing station, or return the collection kit and the maternal blood sample to you or a designated family member.
If you are delivering within our staff courier area, simply call our 24 hour help line after your baby's birth, and then relax with your new baby. Your baby’s cord blood and maternal blood sample will then be picked up directly from your hospital. It will be safely and securely delivered to our lab. You will receive confirmation from us as soon as your sample is received and successfully processed.
If you are delivering outside of our staff courier area, please contact your preferred shipper and have them ship your baby’s cord blood and maternal blood sample to our laboratory. Please be sure to notify us on our 24 hour helpline so that we can track your shipment from now on. Relax and enjoy your new baby. You will receive confirmation from us as soon as your sample is received and successfully processed.
